About Us

ROAR Parade was founded in 2017 with the mission of officially rebranding and enhancing the vehicle parade culture at Sri Sumangala College Panadura. What began as a school tradition has grown into one of Sri Lanka's most anticipated road events, consistently pushing the boundaries of creativity and redefining the vehicle parade experience.

From the beginning, ROAR has been committed to giving back to the community. We've initiated several CSR projects to support both our college and the broader community. Notable initiatives include donations of COVID-19 equipment to the COVID center in Horana and the provision of CCTV equipment to our school, helping to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.

In 2018, ROAR revolutionized the vehicle parade scene by introducing a groundbreaking spectacle: three single-engine land aircrafts flying in formation during a non-state event. This historic moment marked the first time in Sri Lanka’s general aviation history that such a display was made for a public, non-governmental event, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence.

EXPLORE THE PARADE ROUTE

Join us for the exhilarating ROAR Parade as we cruise through the heart of the city, bringing energy, passion, and unyielding spirit to the streets

The parade kicks off at the College Gates, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey. From there, we head towards the iconic Clocktower in Panadura, where we take a left turn towards Wadduwa.

Upon reaching Wadduwa Junction, the parade makes a U-turn, retracing its route back towards Panadura Town. But the excitement doesn’t stop there! The march continues further towards Moratuwa, following the stretch of the New Galle Road.

Finally, the parade makes its grand return, concluding at the heart of Panadura Town, where celebrations, cheers, and the roar of our unbreakable spirit fill the air!
